The Faculty of Economics of ČZU is one of the largest and most demanded economic faculties of the Czech Republic. Each year, the faculty receives more than 10,000 applications for studying, and the faculty, according to the accreditation of the Czech Ministry of Education, is among the six best economic faculties of the country.

The Faculty of Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering was created in the framework of the ČZU in 1952 under the original name “Faculty of Mechanization”. During the training period, the technical faculty trained more than 8000 graduates. The faculty staff develops activities in the field of pedagogical, scientific, research, consulting and consulting. The faculty has ten departments, computer laboratories and research centers.


The Faculty of Engineering has more than 50 international contracts with European universities, and also provides the opportunity for its students to participate in international exchange programs.

The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences

The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences in Prague is a unique place to study, has 50 years of research and traditions in agriculture, rural development and has extensive experience in managing natural resources in the tropics and subtropics.


The mission of the faculty is to obtain the results of research in the field of agricultural, biological and social sciences and their application in the specific conditions of tropical regions and developing countries.


The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences offers bachelor, masters and doctoral programs, and bachelor studies are held exclusively in English. A significant part of students are students from abroad. During the training, students are provided with internships at partner universities in the EU and, in the case of graduate and postgraduate students, there is an opportunity to practice and carry out research activities in tropical and subtropical regions.


Graduates of the faculty work both in the private sector and in governmental and non-governmental institutions in the Czech Republic, the EU and around the world, mainly engaged in developing countries, trade, education, technology transfer and, no less importantly, scientific and research activities in the tropics.

The Faculty of Ecology and the Environment

The Faculty of Ecology and Environment at the ČZU in Prague provides a comprehensive education in a wide range of areas of environmental protection, nature and landscape. The focus is on current educational trends and practical aspects.


The faculty was established on July 1, 2007 with the endorsement of the accreditation commission of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.


The faculty has a three-level system of education and offers accredited study programs in Czech and English languages for bachelors, graduate students and doctoral students.

Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources

The Faculty of Agriculture was established in 1952 as one of the faculties of the newly created independent University of Agriculture in a new complex on the outskirts of Prague. The faculty is the main one in the field of education and training of agricultural specialists to work in research institutes, government bodies and other institutions.


University graduates work in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, plant protection, agricultural product quality control, the protection and use of natural resources, waste management and recycling, rural development, trade and many other areas of the national economy. The faculty was founded in 1918 and is currently divided into 9 departments, which cover the entire field of education, science and cooperation with the practice of forestry and wood processing.


The faculty offers comprehensive training in forestry and the sustainable management of its resources, including the subsequent use of wood as a renewable resource as a valuable natural material. The faculty is a functioning internationally recognized research institute. Students receive excellent theoretical and practical training for further employment in the forestry and wood processing industries, as well as in scientific research.
